Peanuts Park
Farmers' market
About
Nestled in the core of Pasco's vibrant downtown, Peanuts Park serves as a communal hub and open-air gathering space. Renovated in 2022, the park is a bustling venue for a variety of community events, such as the Farmers Market, Cinco De Mayo Festival, and the Fiery Foods Festival. Originating in the 1970s, the park pays homage to Noburu "Peanuts" Fukuda, a cherished local icon. Known for his unique three-wheeled bike, Peanuts was a fixture on Pasco's streets, picking up litter, distributing candy to kids, and gifting plastic flowers to women. Officially named in his honor in April 1977, Peanuts Park continues to embody the community spirit and welcoming atmosphere that he inspired.
