Jamestown Community Farm

Jamestown Community Farm is a volunteer-run, community-supported, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to grow and provide fresh, local vegetables and eggs to food pantries throughout RI, including the MLK Center in Newport, the McAuley Center in Providence, and the Jonnycake Center in Wakefield. The farm grows 11-14 tons of vegetables annually. A summer-season farmers market (on Saturday mornings from 9:30 am to noon) generates funds to buy seeds. Volunteers from the community provide labor necessary to plant, weed, harvest, and distribute the fresh produce. The farm is located on approximately 17 acres of land at the intersection of Eldred Avenue and East Shore Road, Jamestown.
