Reno has the oldest farmers' market in Nevada. Shirley's Farmers' Markets started the first market in Nevada in Sparks, NV and two years later in 1995 opened the Village Shops Market on California Avenue in Reno, NV. We also still run a market at Tamarack Junction Casino, 13101 S. Virginia, Reno, NV which opened in 2001. As the longest running market in Reno we have vendors who have been with us since the beginning. We offer farm fresh produce, specialty foods, meats, poultry, fish, herbs, flowers, and crafts. We celebrate local and neighboring state vendors and small businesses in Nevada. We are a seasonal market that traditionally runs from the first weekend in June through the first weekend in October, every Saturday.
