Down Home Gardens is located in Monterey Township, on a homestead that goes back seven generations in our family. We are not certified organic but practice sustainable agriculture that enhances the soil by making use of crop rotation and companion planting. This produces high quality produce without the use of synthetic or chemical pesticides. The soils are amended with our own compost and all of the seeds that are planted are non-GMO as well as organic certified, most are heirloom varieties. We also raise free range chickens and have fresh eggs for sale. You can shop on the farm June-October at the farm stand located in the big, red barn.
